Wow Long Time No Write…

Well it’s been forever so I thought perhaps I’d post a bit of something.

Moving and getting setup takes forever and sometimes the creative bug hibernates a long long time. So here are a few pics of things I’ve been up to.

Well it is almost over! The summer that is!

Summer in Rocky is coming to a close. Sadly the smoke from all the BC wildfires continue to clog up the sky.

Need to build a dedicated greenhouse for Azusa as this growing season was a real bust. We are getting down to 5c here at night sometimes.

Have to get out and get the bow dialed in. Season starts soon!

Youtube as a possible income generator

Well I know it is a real long shot but there are examples of people making a decent income on Youtube. So as I have the gear and a wee bit of knowledge I figure I should come up with an idea or two for a channel.

3D is being done to death and I am not very good at explaining what I do [I just do it] it is not something I’m willing to invest a crapton of time on. I may do some outdoors type programming. I’m in a great location for it and a day outside is better than any day at a desk job.

Hope it works out as I’m not getting any younger.

Goodbye 2016

Would like to say I enjoyed 2016 but it was not the best year ever. It was a year filled with BS and more BS.

Finally we could do no more and decided a big change had to happen. So rather than move into an even smaller place at (which were impossible to find) high rent we opted to look out of province….Alberta to the rescue.

We are now in a home we bought at less (the mortgage payments) than we paid for rent on the Lower Mainland. It is just crazy as the house we found is double the size of what we were in. Not only that I have not heard one siren since we have been here.

Hopefully Now I can get back to being a bit more creative and less stressed out.

Finally got an ATA Trooper helmet!

I love my EFX helmet, don’t get me wrong. It is very nice with it’s symmetry. Sadly it does not have the originals….wonkieness. So with that being the case I finally have in my hands an ATA helmet.

 

 

New computer build. Any thought people?

Okay I’m putting this up for discussion. Not argument. I have a couple Xeon procs (8 Core 2.6 GHz) and a Asrock EP2C612D16C-4L motherboard. The motherboards layout kind of screws up (as seen in pic) one of the PCI-E slots. Want to get a card that will do 4k out to a monitor. Wondering if I can get or if there are short cards that I might SLI or Crossfire to a full card?  Also want at least 64Gbs of memory.There are 16 slots of ram to fill. Just nuts!

Ideas people? Suggestions. “Should have got this or that board” comments will be turfed as this is the route I’m taking.

I finally bit the bullet and have a FB page. Don’t like it really but there are things I like to follow and I shold not clog up my wife’s account with notices. Sound about right?

A sweating wall means God exists?

People wonder why I’m an atheist? I don’t believe in Fairy tales,no matter the supposed source. I sure as poop don’t believe that a sweating wall is Jesus or some other BS is trying to talk to me.

If you do believe this horse pucky, go to Surrey and check out what looks like a pop can exploding accident on a wall. If the voices start speaking to you in your head….seek medical attention.

DeAgostini Falcon build Part 2

Well I got Boxes 6 and 7 on the doorstep on the 28th of Dec. Here is where we sit so far.

Mostly metal frame/super structure. Oh and I tried painting the pilot and co pilot seats out in the damp chill today….Will be repainting them with the airbrush once I have heat in the garage.workshop.

Massive no? The magazine is the size of what you would find at your local magazine shop.

Can’t wait for the next 2 boxes to arrive! The center ring and more framing will be mounted then!
